Revered by many anthropologists as the 'cradle of humanity', Kenya is wild and a little The reserve is rich in wildlife with an abundance of rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and the beisa oryx (also referred to as Samburu Special Five). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the lion, leopard and cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the miracle lioness that adopted the baby oryx is a resident in the reserve).
DAY 1: MOUNT KENYA – Serena Mountain Lodge
This morning you will be met at your city hotel by your representative who will give you a short briefing on your safari. After the safari briefing, drive to Mountain Lodge via the Great North Road, through the famed Kenyan highlands onto Mount Kenya National park.
Arrive in time for lunch at the Serena mountain lodge – located at 2,194 metres on the slopes of Mount Kenya, Serena Mountain Lodge is surrounded by a dense rainforest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that make the African bush so special and exhilarating. Elephant, buffalo, rhino and waterbuck are regular visitors to the Lodge’s waterhole.

DAY 2: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp
After breakfast, drive to the Samburu National Reserve. Rugged and remote, this wildlife reserve provides some of the best and most colourful game viewing in the country. Arrive for lunch at your camp. Afternoon game drive until sunset. Return later in the as the sun sets to your camp
Dinner and Overnight at Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp
DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp
Spend another day at your lodge with both morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The main attractions are the resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Return later in the as the sun sets to your camp

DAY 4: DEPARTURE Samburu – Nairobi
Early Morning game drive in Samburu before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, drive to Nairobi, Kenya's colourful capital city. Drop off at Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward flight or transfer to your Nairobi Hotel.
